On the Netflix app there is a navigation system which has different sections which have links to part of the app which has the different film and series genres on. When you go on to the app or website there’s a feature in which plays the best parts of trending top 10 films that week. By adding this feature to Netflix it makes the audience of Netflix intrigued to the programme of what is being played and then are more likely to click and watch the series/film. However, this feature isn’t used on the children’s part of Netflix. Netflix purposely did this as it would confuse children and even elderly people, as they wouldn’t understand what was happening as they never clicked a button because it automatically starts playing when you access the Netflix website. If you are on the website and move to the right of the screen the navigation system will be hidden off the screen, which means unnecessary space on the page isn’t taken up but you can still access it when you need to as you move the curser to the other side of the screen and the system comes back.
